Construction Project Manager / Estimator / Purchasing

Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Construction Project Manager with strong purchasing and estimating experience to manage projects from initial pricing through completion.

This role is ideal for someone who can estimate, buy out jobs, and run projects end-to-end—owning both the financial and operational side of construction.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Pre-Construction

- Review plans, specs, and project documents

- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and proposals

- Perform material takeoffs and scope development

- Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor and vendor bids

- Identify cost-saving opportunities and project risks

Purchasing & Procurement

- Manage subcontractor and vendor buyouts

- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms

- Issue purchase orders and manage procurement process

- Maintain vendor/subcontractor database and relationships

- Source materials and services to ensure best pricing and value

- Track orders, deliveries, and resolve material shortages

- Analyze bids and maintain bid comparison sheets

- Support contract administration, change orders, and compliance

Project Management

- Oversee projects from kickoff through completion

- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams

- Manage schedules, budgets, and job costs

- Track progress and provide regular reporting

- Handle change orders, problem-solving, and issue resolution

- Ensure quality control and client satisfaction

Qualifications

- Experience in construction estimating, project management, and/or purchasing

- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing

- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

- Proven experience managing budgets and job costs

- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills

- Highly organized and detail-oriented

- Proficient in Excel and the Microsoft office suite

Preferred

- Experience with buyouts and full-cycle project execution

Compensation

- Competitive salary (based on experience)

- Performance-based bonus potential

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
