Construction Quality Control Inspector

Rough-in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) is a systematic process that inspects the "hidden" infrastructure of a building. This includes plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and other trades. Inspections occur after installation, but before walls, ceilings, and floors are closed with drywall or other finishes. This phase is critical for verifying that all systems meet project specifications. The main goal is to find defects early, avoiding costly repairs and schedule delays.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Conduct and document inspections, such as checking material compliance and performing dimensional checks.
  • Report results to team members and back-check to confirm the correction/completion of items out of compliance.
  • Documentation responsibilities such as generating reports and checklists.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This is a full-time position. The typical schedule is 8AM – 5PM Monday through Friday. However, your schedule may vary depending on the assigned tasks and may extend or fall outside the normal business hours. Work may occur in the evenings and on weekends, depending on assigned tasks.

Qualifications


  • Construction experience is preferred.
  • Experience in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications is preferred.
  • Inspectors must be able to use or learn how to use various measurement tools and construction documents.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, or Google document equivalents, is preferred.
  • Dependable personal transportation is required to travel to various job site locations. Ability to stand for long periods and maneuver in an industrial environment.
  • You must be able to read and write, perform basic math calculations, and understand and communicate in English.
