Construction Safety Officer (HSE) – NEBOSH Required

Our client, a leading construction company in Qatar, is seeking a qualified and proactive HSE Officer to join their team . The ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction safety activities, including excavation, shuttering, machinery, and scaffolding operations, ensuring strict adherence to local and international HSE standards.

• Job Title: HSE Officer
• Work Location: Wakrah & Raslalffan
• Employment Type: Full-time, 1-Year Contract (Extendable)
• Working Days: Saturday to Thursday
• Working Hours: 10 hours per day (6:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Monthly Salary: QAR 4,000

Job Overview

This role requires active site presence and the ability to manage safety compliance across multiple ongoing construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce compliance with company and project HSE policies and procedures
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
• Monitor safety practices in excavation, shuttering, machinery, lifting, and scaffolding operations
• Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness sessions
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to maintain HSE standards
• Ensure proper documentation of daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field
• NEBOSH IGC (All 3 units) – Required
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction HSE roles
• Strong knowledge of construction safety procedures (excavation, formwork, scaffolding, machinery, lifting operations)
• Familiarity with Qatari safety regulations and international HSE best practices
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced construction environments
