Job Purpose:
The Construction Site Engineer is responsible for managing, supervising, and coordinating all on-site construction activities for high-rise building projects. The role ensures that the project is executed according to design specifications, safety standards, schedule, and quality requirements — from site preparation to final handover.
Key Responsibilities:1. Pre-Construction Stage:
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications.
- Assist in site mobilization, layout, and preparation of temporary facilities.
- Coordinate with surveyors for setting out of gridlines, benchmarks, and levels.
- Participate in preparing method statements, work programs, and risk assessments.
- Verify material submittals and ensure compliance with project specifications.
2. Construction Stage:
- Supervise daily site works including excavation, foundation, concrete, formwork, reinforcement, blockwork, finishing, and façade works.
- Ensure that construction activities are executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor subcontractors’ performance and progress.
- Coordinate with QA/QC and safety teams to ensure implementation of quality and HSE procedures.
- Check and record daily manpower, equipment, and materials used on site.
- Attend site coordination meetings with consultants, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Manage inspection requests (IRs) and ensure timely approval from consultants.
- Identify technical issues and coordinate with the design team for resolutions.
- Supervise installation of MEP works interface with structural and architectural elements.
3. Quality & Safety Control:
- Ensure all works comply with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, or relevant authority requirements.
- Enforce safety policies and ensure site compliance with HSE regulations.
- Conduct inspections to verify workmanship and material quality.
- Maintain updated documentation for QA/QC submissions, checklists, and test reports.
4. Project Progress & Reporting:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
- Update project schedules and report any delays or issues to the Project Engineer/Manager.
- Verify subcontractor works and prepare measurement sheets for payment.
- Ensure that the work progresses according to the approved construction program.
5. Finishing & Handover Stage:
- Supervise finishing works including plaster, paint, flooring, ceiling, doors, and windows.
- Coordinate snagging and de-snagging activities with QA/QC and consultants.
- Ensure completion of as-built drawings and project documentation.
- Support testing, commissioning, and final handover to the client.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 3–7 years of UAE experience, preferably in high-rise building projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural and architectural works.
- Familiar with local authority regulations (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, etc.).
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project scheduling tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
