Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
Duties
· Follow all written Hewn Processes pertaining to your specific role.
· Responsible for daily monitoring and management of assigned homes/units under construction.
· Responsible for following and updating the construction schedule provided in online software daily and for proactively communicating and managing subcontractors and vendors to ensure the schedule provided is met.
· Responsible for monitoring and inspecting all work completed by subcontractors to ensure it meets the full scope of work and is delivered with the expected level of quality.
· Superintendent is responsible for each home/unit from start to completion and for managing the correction of warranty issues that arise within the first year after closing.
· Superintendent at the direction of the Construction Manager is to resolve warranty issues in older homes that may arise.
· Responsible for ensuring all deliveries by vendors arrive on time in accordance with lot specific plan and selections.
· Identify and resolve problems related to the construction of assigned homes/units in conjunction with the Executive Team.
· Responsible for walking homes/units after each trade to ensure they are clean and ready for the next trade. Jobsite cleanliness is the responsibility of the Superintendent.
· Responsible for managing work and materials to avoid unnecessary extra costs and ensuring that materials supplied by Hewn Custom Homes are being utilized by subcontractors for the application and in the quantities intended. Make every effort to identify damage to existing work/materials so subs can be held accountable.
· Responsible for securing job sites daily, and for the safe keeping and management of all materials on site to ensure damage and theft are minimized.
· Responsible for ensuring remaining or unused materials are reused, reallocated, or returned for credit.
· Work with the Executive Team to train and develop Assistant Superintendents to grow and prepare for future advancement within the company.
· Superintendent will be responsible for attending and contributing to all required meetings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
