Construction Superintendent

Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Superintendent, where you'll lead and oversee large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. This pivotal role demands a proactive leader who can coordinate multiple teams, ensure safety compliance, and deliver projects on time and within budget. As the driving force on-site, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, supervising staff, and maintaining quality standards to bring complex construction visions to life with precision and efficiency.

Duties

  • Oversee all phases of construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain seamless workflow and timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Implement project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or HeavyBid, adjusting plans as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce OSHA safety standards, and uphold quality control measures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to ensure accurate execution of design specifications.
  • Manage project budgets by tracking costs, reviewing contracts, and controlling expenses to prevent overruns.
  • Utilize tools like ProCore and Bluebeam for documentation, progress tracking, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Supervise site personnel by providing clear direction, mentoring team members, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Review technical measurements with tools such as ohmmeters or other testing equipment to verify system integrity when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, inspections, and project milestones for reporting purposes.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in construction site management with proven supervising capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management software including Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, and other relevant tools.
  • Familiarity with construction estimating techniques and budgeting processes to control project costs effectively.
  • Ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Deep understanding of OSHA regulations and safety procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Skilled in project scheduling and management practices that optimize productivity and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating teams, managing contracts, and liaising with clients or stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with heavy machinery testing equipment like ohmmeters when required on projects involving electrical systems.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
