Construction Superintendent (5+ years)

The Metro Realty Group Ltd. is a fully integrated land developer with headquarters located in Farmington, Connecticut. Our projects are located throughout Central Connecticut and include both residential and commercial developments.

We are seeking a qualified, organized candidate to oversee the daily operations of assigned construction projects. This position will report directly to company ownership and work closely with the CFO and development team.

Our fast-paced environment is best suited for motivated, organized individuals who are self-starters and can effectively manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• On Site Management: Oversee daily on-site construction activities and project progress
• Coordinate: Maintain and daily coordination with subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
• Monitor quality control and construction material management
• Schedule: Monitor project timelines and assist with scheduling
• Ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications
• Communicate regularly with ownership and the development team regarding project status
• Provide strategic input on project plans and processes in collaboration with the project team to maximize project efficiency and value engineering opportunities.
• Safety: Conduct site inspections and maintain quality control standards
• Ensure all work meets local, state, and federal codes and regulations

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Multifamily and/or residential construction
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and job site management
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, plans, construction documents and specifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong leadership abilities with a results-driven, goal-oriented mindset
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and job tasks simultaneously
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
• OSHA 30 Certification Required
• Valid Driver’s License
• Full-time, on-site presence required
