Construction Superintendent (Retail)

Imperium Construction Services is a NYC-based General Contracting and Construction Management company focused on high-end commercial, retail, and fitness interior build-outs. We are looking for an experienced Superintendent to join our growing team and help lead projects throughout New York City.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes ownership, understands fast-paced interior construction, and can run a clean, organized, high-level job site.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities
• Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, inspections, and field logistics
• Maintain project schedules and drive milestones
• Create and manage daily logs and 2-week look-ahead schedules
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and project drawings/specifications
• Enforce site safety and maintain OSHA compliance
• Work closely with the Project Manager, clients, architects, and building teams
• Maintain organized site documentation and Procore updates
• Lead punch list completion and project closeout

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial interior construction
• Experience managing retail, fitness, hospitality, or high-end interior fit-outs preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain schedule pressure
• Carpentry background is a plus
• Procore experience preferred
• OSHA 40 and NYC DOB 62-Hour SST Supervisor certification preferred
