Construction Superintendent/Project Manager - Commercial HVAC

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial HVAC Superintendent to lead and oversee heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) projects within commercial construction environments. This role is pivotal in managing on-site operations, ensuring project milestones are met with precision, safety, and quality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, extensive supervision experience, and a comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems, blueprints, schematics, and construction software tools. Duties

• Lead and coordinate all phases of commercial HVAC construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
• Supervise on-site teams, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and system integration.
• Utilize construction management software such as Fieldwire, Clockshark, ProCore, Bluebeam, and other tools to plan schedules, track progress, and manage documentation effectively.
• Oversee project scheduling using Fieldwire or similar platforms to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Manage contracts, change orders, and procurement processes to stay within budget constraints while maintaining quality standards.
• Conduct quality control inspections utilizing tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing and ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers on budgeting activities including cost estimating and resource allocation for HVAC systems.
• Ensure all worksite activities comply with safety protocols by enforcing OSHA standards and conducting regular safety audits.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to facilitate seamless project execution.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of commercial HVAC systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in construction management software including Fieldwire, ProCore, Bluebeam and other relevant tools.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating techniques.
• Proven experience supervising teams on construction sites with a focus on safety compliance and quality assurance.
• Ability to read technical drawings accurately and utilize measurement tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
• Skilled in project scheduling with Fieldwire or similar platforms to coordinate multiple trades efficiently.
• Familiarity with contracts management processes including change orders and procurement strategies.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to heavy equipment operation, electrical work, fall protection, and general site safety practices.
• Excellent management skills with the ability to lead teams confidently while fostering a collaborative work environment.
