Construction Waste and Maintenance

Job Overview
Join our team as a Construction Waste and Maintenance Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring construction waste bins on new build housing construction sites are emptied and maintained. This energetic position involves managing waste disposal, which includes driving a dually pick up truck and pulling a 14 foot trailer. Must be comfortable with labor, as well as parking and backing up a trailer. More hours are available for maintenance and contracting type of work for our other portion of the business taking maintenance jobs for a property management company, as well as some rehab jobs. Candidate could be performing routine maintenance tasks, and supporting overall site cleanliness to promote a safe and efficient working environment. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help keep the construction site running smoothly while maintaining high standards of sanitation and maintenance.

Duties

• Responsible for the proper collection and disposal of construction debris and waste materials in accordance with safety and environmental regulations
• Perform routine tasks, although sometimes labor intensive, including loading construction debris, such as remnants of 2x4s, plywood, siding and any other type of trash removal for a new build home.
• Keep the trash pens empty and tidy when you leave for the day.
• Driving a dually pick up truck, pulling a trailer, backing up truck and trailer and comfortable operating a dump trailer at a waste management transfer station or landfill.
• Maintenance of equipment, such as pressure washing dumping trailer, checking tires before going out on a job, keeping track of maintenance schedule, such as oil changes for vehicle.
• If you have maintenance and contracting skills with tools, more hours will be available.
• Keeping track and reporting what sites you are visiting each day.

Requirements

• Proven experience in labor position in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Experience driving a pick up truck, pulling a trailer, backing up a trailer and operating a dump trailer.
• Ability to multi task and pivot to whatever work is available each day.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for managing waste disposal schedules and maintenance routines..
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy materials, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders if necessary
• Comfortable working outside in different environments, from hot to cold, wind, rain, etc.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members for scheduling and reporting maintenance issues promptly

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
