About Sightsavers
Sightsavers is an international organisation that works in more than more than 30 countries to prevent avoidable blindness and fight for the rights of people with disabilities. Our vision is of a world where no one is blind from avoidable causes, and where people with disabilities can participate equally in society. Sightsavers has been operating in Pakistan since 1985 and subsequently established a formal country presence in 1998. With the objective of developing eye care for the poorest people in both urban and rural areas, Sightsavers has been providing preventive services as well as a full range of treatments. Our work in Pakistan focuses on strengthening eye health systems, promoting inclusive education systems, and accessible community development solutions.
Project Overview
The overall goal of the programme is to enable young people with disabilities to enter the labour market and remain in decent employment (waged or self-employment) in Pakistan. It focuses on scaling and strengthening labor market systems, fostering greater inclusion and disability confidence among employers and influencing regulatory frameworks to create and promote inclusive policies and employment opportunities for youth with disabilities. Through trainings and mentorship interventions and advocacy project is supporting:
Women and men with disabilities in accessing waged employment.
Women and men with disabilities in starting or expanding a business enterprise.
Employers in building their disability confidence for inclusive employment practices.
Business and disability network in promoting inclusive business practice.
Policy development for creating of employment opportunities for youth with disabilities
Objectives of the Assignment
Develop a video case study (5-8mins) capturing story of an employer who has made workplace inclusive with accessible infrastructure, inclusive policies and hiring of workforce with disabilities
Develop a two video case studies (4-6mins) showcasing success of two participants of training programme who landed in to decent employment after receiving training under the programme.
Post production of provided raw footage to develop a case study of a participant of Innovation Challenge Futuremakers programme under which startups led by persons with disabilities are supported with mentorship for business development.
Develop two narrative stories in the form of blog post with activity-based photos. (Guidelines for pictures are given at the end)
Photos of all the participants involved in the videos.
Scope of Work
Development of storyboards for all videos
Development of voice over scripts
Development of questions for the partcipants
Interviews and Content Collection for video case studies with participants of the programme, implementing partner and relevant stakeholders (list will be provided) (Interview Guidelines are given at the end).
Pictures of participants at different locations (workplace, home, one the way)
Make a household visit to the case study participants to capture the entire routine cycle and impact of intervention in their lives. And take pictures and a reflection of family members as well
Narration and design of case studies: Develop narrative case studies of identified participants
Getting consent of all participants and maintaining the record
Sign language interpretation of final version of videos
Strictly following the provided guidelines for photography, videography, consent and branding

During production, we expect the following to be developed and signed off:
Interview transcripts with time stamps (translated if necessary)
Footage log
Storyboards and detailed scripts after filming (before editing)

Once filming and post production is complete: consultant is responsible to provide:
All footage with accompanying video log on provided template.
To be transferred to a OneDrive folder
Audio files for interviews
Final edited videos and project files
Fully packaged, final project managed file(s) – preferably in Adobe Premier Pro format (.prpoj) which can be done via project manager in Premiere Pro (file > Project Manager) or compatible for other editing software
Export of final video
Export of final video without captions (file name_NO CAPTIONS)
Export of final video completely clean ie) no captions, no titles or text, no logos, no end frame, no music (file name_CLEAN)
Music track file(s) and licence
Two narrative case studies with pictures in the form of blog post
Consent forms for all pictures and videography
Targeted Location
TBD (most likely in Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore)
Roles and responsibilities
Participants’ identification and coordination will be responsibility of the organization
Logistics of production team will be responsibility of the consultant/agency
Qualifications and Requirements
Strong participatory and qualitative social research skills, including design, data collection, and analysis
Experience in organizing in-depth interviews with public and private stakeholders/
Extensive experience and skills in content collection, including still images and videography
Understanding of the desired topic speciality. For example, disability, gender, economic employment, etc, will be an added advantage
Preferably having presence in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
Fluent in spoken and written English & Urdu, and the local languages
