The Consultant ENT will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck. The role includes providing OPD consultations, performing surgeries, managing in-patients, and ensuring high-quality patient care in accordance with clinical standards and hospital policies.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Conduct OPD consultations, patient assessments, and diagnostic evaluations for ENT conditions.
  • Perform ENT-related surgeries including tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, septoplasty, FESS, tympanoplasty, mastoidectomy, and other indicated procedures.
  • Provide inpatient care: admissions, pre-operative evaluation, post-operative management, and rounds.
  • Manage emergency ENT cases such as epistaxis, foreign body removal (ear/nose/throat), airway obstruction, etc.
  • Interpret audiometry, endoscopy, imaging reports, and other diagnostic tests.
  • Conduct ENT endoscopic procedures (diagnostic & therapeutic).
  • Collaborate with anaesthesia, radiology, audiology, and other specialties for integrated care.

Patient Care & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
  • Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plan, surgery, risks, and outcomes.
  • Promote a patient-centric environment with high standards of hospitality and care.

Administrative & Teaching Responsibilities

  • Participate in departmental meetings, clinical audits, and hospital quality improvement activities.
  • Guide junior doctors, nurses, and technicians in ENT procedures and patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with NABH standards and hospital policies.
  • Support medical camps, outreach programs, and health awareness initiatives.

3. Qualifications & Experience

  • MBBS + MS/ DNB (ENT) from a recognized institution..
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Consultant/Associate Consultant (as per hospital requirement).
  • Strong clinical skills in both OPD and OT settings.
