Consultant Gastroenterologist (Arabic Speaker) – Al Ain

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist who is fluent in Arabic to join a reputable healthcare facility in Al Ain. The successful candidate will diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and digestive disorders while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with international clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders including GERD, IBS, IBD, liver diseases, pancreatitis, and gastrointestinal bleeding.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
  • Manage both inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology cases.
  • Develop individualized treatment and long-term follow-up plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, dietitians, oncologists, and multidisciplinary medical teams.
  • Provide culturally sensitive communication and consultation to Arabic-speaking patients and families.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with DOH regulations and hospital policies.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, CME activities, and departmental meetings.
  • Educate patients regarding digestive health, preventive care, diet, and lifestyle modifications.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
  • Board Certification / Fellowship in Gastroenterology.
  • Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Gastroenterology.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of post-board consultant experience in a reputed hospital or healthcare institution.
  • Expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures.
  • Fluency in Arabic (mandatory) and English (preferred).
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in hepatology and management of chronic liver diseases.
  • Exposure to advanced endoscopic procedures is an advantage.
  • Strong patient communication and counseling skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.
