This is a Community General Adult Consultant post with North and East Community Treatment Team. The CMHT is positioned in Secondary Care and has a pivotal role in directly delivering specialist community mental health services, but also an interface with Primary care, Specialist Services such as Perinatal Mental Health, Eating Disorders, Early Intervention in Psychosis and Rehabilitation Services and many other specialist services.
The post holder will find themselves well supported, with opportunities for ongoing professional development and collaborative working.

This is a part time working age adult substantive Consultant Psychiatrist post in the Newcastle North and East Community Treatment Team, where you will provide medical input into a Community Treatment Team working with three other consultants, specialist grade and a Nurse consultant covering the adult population in the North and East of Newcastle. The post-holder is expected to:

The Community Mental Health Team provides an assessment and treatment service for people who are experiencing difficulty with their mental health based on episodic model of care. The CMHT works closely with the local Crisis Team, Liaison service and Inpatient services to ensure safe and timely transitions when required .
