SearchPlus HR is seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Neurologist to join a prominent public sector healthcare institution. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality neurological care within the public healthcare system.
As a Consultant Neurologist in the public sector, you will be responsible for diagnosing, managing, and treating patients with a wide range of neurological disorders, while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostic investigations such as MRI, CT scans, EEGs, and lumbar punctures
- Develop and implement evidence-based management plans for acute and chronic neurological conditions
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and contribute to medical education programs
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and comply with public healthcare regulations
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and guidelines in neurology
Requirements- Medical degree with full registration and license to practice
- Completion of a neurology residency and Board Certification in Neurology
- Experience working in a public healthcare setting is preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and managing neurological disorders
- Proficient in interpreting neuroimaging and electrophysiological studies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a multidisciplinary team environment
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
- Ability to supervise and mentor junior staff
- Familiarity with public healthcare policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
