About Tawam Molecular Imaging Centre

Tawam Molecular Imaging Centre in Al Ain offers PET/CT Molecular Imaging services that provide advanced diagnostic imaging in fields such as oncology, cardiology, and neurology. The PET/CT imaging process uses radiotracers to create three-dimensional images for insights into organ function and anatomy, aiding personalized treatment plans and precise assessments. The centre operates a PET/CT scanner and a Cyclotron, with a team of medical professionals providing patient care in this facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • PET Imaging Reporting: Report PET-CT scans using isotopes including FDG, amyloid, PSMA, Gallium, Choline, and others as required. Cardiac PET imaging experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Cross-Sectional Body Imaging: Report cross-sectional imaging, including CT and MRI scans.
  • Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) / Tumor Board Participation: Actively participate in MDT meetings and tumor boards, providing imaging insights and contributing to oncological clinical decision-making. Collaborate with clinicians for comprehensive patient management.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  • Bachelor of Medicine/MBBS or equivalent from an accredited institution, in line with DOH PQR requirements.
  • Certificate of Completion of Specialty Training in Nuclear Medicine recognized by the DOH or as defined by DOH PQR. Western Board certification (e.g., CCT, American Board, RCPSC, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Valid license/registration to practice in the home country and/or country of last employment (where applicable).
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of post-specialist qualification experience in Nuclear Medicine, or as defined by DOH PQR.
  • Proven expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, with strong knowledge of advanced imaging technologies and radionuclide therapies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and patient care skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
