Role Overview
A prestigious hospital in Dubai is seeking a highly qualified Consultant in Critical Care Medicine with specialized expertise in organ transplantation (liver and/or kidney). The role centers on leading ICU care for transplant patients, ensuring optimal outcomes through multidisciplinary collaboration and advanced clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead ICU management of critically ill transplant patients across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases
  • Collaborate with transplant surgeons, nephrologists, hepatologists, and anesthetists to deliver integrated care
  • Perform advanced procedures: * Invasive monitoring
  • Mechanical ventilation
  • Renal replacement therapy
  • Hemodynamic support
  • Ensure compliance with DHA regulations and international best practices
  • Participate in clinical research, quality improvement, and staff training
  • Provide on-call support across transplant units, ER, and general critical care areas
Qualifications & Experience
  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent)
  • Residency in Critical Care or Internal Medicine
  • Fellowship or subspecialty training in Transplant ICU / Critical Care Medicine
  • Board-certified (UK CCT, American Board, Canadian FRCP, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years post-fellowship experience in transplant-related ICU care
  • DHA license or eligibility for Consultant classification
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus
Preferred Attributes
  • Proven experience managing liver and kidney transplant patients
  • Familiarity with advanced ICU technologies and EMR systems
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, ethical practice, and continuous learning
  • Interest in academic teaching or transplant-related research
