Consultant Pediatrician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and compassionate Consultant Pediatrician to join our hospital team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring high standards of clinical excellence and patient safety. This role requires strong clinical expertise, effective communication skills, and commitment to quality healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic pediatric illnesses.
• Perform clinical examinations and recommend appropriate investigations.
• Develop and supervise patient treatment plans.
• Provide emergency pediatric care when required.

2. Patient Care & Communication

• Counsel parents and caregivers on child health, nutrition, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
• Ensure clear communication with patients’ families and multidisciplinary teams.

3. Team & Hospital Coordination

• Work closely with nursing staff and other medical professionals.
• Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Follow hospital policies, SOPs, and ethical medical practices.

Qualification:

• MBBS degree along with FCPS in Pediatrics from a recognized institution.
• Valid and active registration with the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC).

Experience:

Minimum3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience in pediatric practice (hospital setting preferred).

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and parents.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
• Sound knowledge of pediatric clinical protocols and patient safety standards.
• Time management and leadership abilities.
