Consultant Pharmacist – Remote Supervision

Join a renowned psychiatric practice in Panama City Beach, led by Dr. Dhvanit Vijapura, a respected leader in addiction care and mental health for injured workers (Workers’ Compensation) and first responders. We are seeking a credentialed Florida Licensed Consultant Pharmacist to provide administrative and regulatory oversight for our point-of-care dispensing program for Workers’ Compensation patients.

Role Overview

This position provides high-level governance of our in-office dispensing operations, ensuring all activities strictly adhere to Florida Board of Pharmacy regulations. You will remotely oversee a registered Pharmacy Technician who executes the daily dispensing of non-controlled medications. You will serve as the primary authority on pharmacy compliance, ensuring our program operates with clinical integrity and legal precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Oversight: Remotely monitor the Pharmacy Technician’s dispensing tasks to ensure accuracy and procedural compliance.
• Governance: Act as the Consultant Pharmacist of Record, establishing and maintaining the Policy and Procedure manual for point-of-care dispensing.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct routine remote audits of dispensing logs, inventory records, and labeling protocols.
• Technical Advisory: Provide expert guidance on state-mandated record-keeping and legal requirements for medication storage.
• Audit Readiness: Ensure the practice remains "inspection-ready" through rigorous monitoring of pharmacy workflows and documentation.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Active Florida Pharmacist License AND Florida Consultant Pharmacist License (Required).
• Legal Expertise: Deep understanding of Florida Administrative Code (Rule 64B16) and statutes governing physician-office dispensing.
• Experience: Prior experience in a consultant capacity or overseeing point-of-care systems is highly preferred.
• Communication: Ability to provide clear, professional guidance to on-site staff.

Engagement Details

• Structure: Flexible hourly rate ($100/hr) or a monthly retainer.
