Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide consultant-level orthopedic services specializing in shoulder and wrist conditions.
- Diagnose and manage a broad range of shoulder, wrist, and upper extremity disorders.
- Perform advanced surgical procedures including arthroscopy, reconstruction, and joint replacement where indicated.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans utilizing both operative and non-operative approaches.
- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up care.
- Manage sports-related injuries affecting the shoulder and wrist.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and clinical governance activities.
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior medical staff and trainees.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, international best practices, and patient safety standards.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and continuing medical education programs.
- Participate in departmental on-call duties as required.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent).
- Completion of a recognized Residency Program in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Fellowship, Board Certification, or equivalent Consultant-level qualification in Orthopedic Surgery recognized by UAE healthcare authorities.
- Subspecialty Fellowship or advanced training in Shoulder and Wrist Surgery, Upper Limb Surgery, or Sports Orthopedics.
- Proven experience performing advanced shoulder and wrist surgical procedures.
- Eligibility for licensure in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- Strong clinical, surgical, leadership, and communication skills.
