We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia with extensive expertise in managing complex congenital and acquired cardiac conditions in neonates, infants, children, and adolescents undergoing cardiac surgery and interventional procedures.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering specialized anesthesia care, supporting advanced pediatric cardiac programs, and contributing to exceptional clinical outcomes within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for pediatric cardiac surgeries and interventional cardiology procedures.
• Assess, evaluate, and optimize pediatric cardiac patients preoperatively.
• Develop and implement individualized anesthetic management plans.
• Perform advanced intraoperative monitoring and anesthesia management for complex congenital and acquired cardiac conditions.
• Participate in multidisciplinary discussions involving pediatric cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and allied healthcare professionals.
• Manage perioperative care and postoperative transitions to pediatric intensive care units.
• Lead emergency responses and resuscitation efforts when required.
• Supervise and mentor junior physicians, fellows, and anesthesia team members.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, research activities, and continuing medical education programs.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, clinical governance standards, and patient safety protocols.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent Medical Degree from a recognized institution.
• Recognized Postgraduate Qualification and Board Certification in Anesthesiology.
• Fellowship Training or Subspecialty Certification in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia.
• Eligibility for Consultant-level classification according to DOH Abu Dhabi standards.
• Valid DOH License, Eligibility Letter, or eligibility to obtain licensure in Abu Dhabi.
• Significant consultant-level experience in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia within a tertiary or quaternary healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing complex pediatric cardiac surgical cases.
• Experience with pediatric transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and advanced hemodynamic monitoring is highly desirable.
