Medacs Healthcare is recruiting a Consultant Psychiatrist for the Central Coast Local Health District in Gosford, Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership to the CAMHS team, ensuring smooth, efficient operation of the service.
• Give clinical governance, including expert psychiatric care and advice to young people and their families.
• Lead multidisciplinary meetings (MDT care reviews) and other clinical leadership activities.
• Conduct psychiatric assessment, treatment and management of young people and families.

Essential Selection Criteria

• UK trained MRCPsych with Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from an approved RCPsych curriculum.
• Australian candidates eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
• Demonstrated clinical skills and experience working with mental health problems in child and adolescent psychiatry.
• Experience and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
