Consultant Pulmonologist - Government Health Authority

SearchPlus HR is currently seeking a highly qualified Consultant Pulmonologist to support a Government Health Authority. In this vital role, you will provide specialized care for patients with respiratory conditions while adhering to the regulatory standards and protocols set forth by government health policies.

As a Consultant Pulmonologist for the Government Health Authority, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of pulmonary diseases, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare providers in the community to ensure comprehensive care for all patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients with respiratory diseases, including detailed history taking and physical examinations
  • Order and interpret relevant diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests, imaging studies, and other related procedures
  • Diagnose and manage chronic and acute respiratory conditions, including but not limited to asthma, COPD, and interstitial lung diseases
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that include medication management, lifestyle modifications, and referrals as needed
  • Educate patients and their families about respiratory health and effective self-management strategies
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the government health system to enhance patient care quality
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with advancements in pulmonology and government health regulations



Requirements
  • Medical degree and valid license to practice as a Consultant Pulmonologist
  • Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating a variety of respiratory conditions in a clinical setting
  • Deep understanding of pulmonology practices, government health policies, and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic tests related to respiratory health
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing patient cases effectively
  • Ability to work independently in a government health setting while also thriving in team-based environments
  • Board certification in Pulmonology is preferred
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with empathy and respect
  • Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills in compliance with health authority standards
  • Capacity to work under pressure and manage multiple case loads efficiently
