Job Title: Radiologist – Gastroenterology Imaging & Intestinal Ultrasound
Department: Radiology / Medical Gastroenterology
The Radiologist will specialize in performing and interpreting gastrointestinal imaging and intestinal ultrasound to support diagnosis and management of patients with gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders. The role involves close collaboration with gastroenterologists, surgeons, and other specialists to deliver accurate, high-quality imaging services and ensure comprehensive patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret intestinal ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound, and GI imaging studies with high diagnostic accuracy.
- Support gastroenterologists in real-time intestinal ultrasound examinations for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), tumors, strictures, and functional disorders.
- Provide imaging guidance for interventional procedures where applicable (e.g., USG-guided biopsies, drainage).
- Prepare and deliver timely radiology reports with detailed observations and clinical correlation.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss imaging findings and contribute to patient management decisions.
- Collaborate with gastroenterology teams in research, case discussions, and academic activities.
- Train and mentor junior doctors, residents, and fellows in GI imaging and intestinal ultrasound.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and hospital quality standards.
- Maintain updated knowledge on advancements in intestinal ultrasound and GI imaging techniques.
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS with MD/DNB in Radiology (recognized qualification).
- Valid registration with Medical Council (State/National).
- Experience in gastrointestinal imaging, particularly intestinal ultrasound (preferred).
- Familiarity with IBD imaging protocols, liver elastography, abdominal cross-sectional imaging.
- Strong analytical and interpretation skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with gastroenterologists and multidisciplinary teams.
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in intestinal ultrasound and GI imaging protocols.
- Proficiency in PACS, HIS/EMR systems.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with clinicians and patients.
- Academic and research orientation is an added advantage.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
