Brief on the Organization:
The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. PHFI, in collaboration with the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation (MDRF), the Indian Council of Medical Research – National Institute of Nutrition (ICMR-NIN), and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), is implementing a project titled “Co-designing a gamification module to promote healthier dietary choices and reduce ultra-processed food consumption among school adolescents.” The project aims to co-design a gamified module targeting adolescents’ (11-14 years) healthy dietary practices. It combines nutrition literacy with behavioral nudges through persuasive technology, offering an interactive and user-friendly approach. The study has been funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
The role requires experience in conducting literature reviews and drafting project-related documentation, including progress reports. The candidate should demonstrate hands-on experience working in community-based or multi-centric research studies, preferably within public health, nutrition, or adolescent health domains. Strong organizational and documentation skills, along with the ability to support research implementation, are essential.
