About Nordis Consulting

Nordis Consulting is a full-service business consulting firm headquartered in Houston, Texas. We work with mid-sized and growing companies across the U.S., providing a one-stop solution for business needs across strategy, operations, finance, supply chain, marketing, law, and organizational design.

Clients partner with Nordis to solve problems that directly impact profitability and growth — from restructuring teams and standardizing operating procedures, to auditing inventory and financial performance, to advising on legal and compliance issues, to building marketing strategies that scale.

What makes Nordis unique is that we don’t just give recommendations — we embed ourselves inside a client’s business. We interview employees, audit departments, analyze performance, and gather insights on the ground. Then we design and implement the changes that make businesses more efficient, scalable, and profitable.

We are building Nordis to be the consulting solution for ambitious business owners who want the expertise of a large firm but with the speed, agility, and real-world execution of a hands-on partner.

This role is an opportunity to be at the ground floor of a growing consulting firm. You will work directly with the Director (the founder of Nordis), engage face-to-face with executives and employees, and play a key role in gathering the insights that drive high-impact decisions. As Nordis scales, the right candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a senior consultant and future leader in the firm.

The Role:
We are seeking a Field Consultant to represent Nordis on the ground with clients. You will work directly with the Director, visiting client sites, interviewing employees, auditing departments, and gathering information critical to improving business operations. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with business owners and executives, gain direct exposure to multiple industries, and be part of a high-growth consulting firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to client sites (expenses covered: flights, hotels, mileage).
  • Act as Nordis’ on-the-ground representative during client engagements.
  • Interview employees, managers, and executives to gather insights.
  • Audit departments (operations, inventory, sales, HR, etc.) using provided checklists and guidance.
  • Request and collect data/reports from client teams (accounting, operations, marketing, etc.).
  • Summarize findings and communicate clearly back to the Director.
  • Participate in strategy meetings with the Director to discuss client needs, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Execute specific action items or investigations assigned by the Director.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident speaking with executives and employees alike.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions precisely.
  • Professional presence; able to represent Nordis with credibility and authority.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (10–30% of time).
  • Prior business, consulting, or operations experience a plus.

Compensation:

  • $25–$35/hour (contractor) OR $55,000–$70,000/year (employee, depending on experience).
  • Travel expenses fully covered.
  • Performance bonuses available.

Why Join Nordis:

  • Direct Impact: You’ll represent Nordis on the ground, working face-to-face with business owners, executives, and employees. Your work will directly influence decisions that reshape companies.
  • Unmatched Learning: Instead of being buried in spreadsheets, you’ll learn how to audit, interview, and evaluate real businesses — skills you won’t get at entry-level roles in big consulting firms.
  • Career Growth: As Nordis scales, you’ll be positioned to grow into a senior consultant and eventually a leadership role in the firm.
  • Entrepreneurial Environment: You’ll be part of building something new. Your input will shape not only client outcomes, but the way Nordis itself grows and operates.
  • Travel & Variety: No two weeks are the same — one week you may be auditing a retailer’s warehouse, the next sitting down with a finance team, the next preparing insights for a strategy session.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 45 per week
