Consulting Civil Engineer - Lead

Zachry Engineering Corporation (ZEC) is currently looking for a talented and self-motivated Consulting Civil Engineer Lead to join our Houston Westchase Office . The ideal candidate will be a proven leader, responsible for leading both high-performing teams and complex Civil, Infrastructure, power, and industrial projects, while serving as a recognized technical Subject Matter Expert (SME).

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.

• Minimum 20 years of Civil Engineering experience in the industrial industry.

• Professional Engineer (PE) License.

• AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency.

• Experience with grading and Earthwork site design.

• Experience with stormwater drainage analysis utilizing Autodesk Storm & Sanitary Analysis (SSA), Stormwater Detention Pond analysis, and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP).

• Environmental Permitting knowledge (NPDES, wetlands, 404, Phase 1 ESA).

• Site layout experience (parking, access, roadways, ADA compatibility, vehicle turning analysis).

• Experience with Roadway / Paving design & specifications.

• Surveying knowledge (topographical, boundary, plats, coordinate systems).

• Geotechnical knowledge (sitework prep, roadway / heavy haul paving design) security gate / fencing design.

• Estimating quantities for construction.

• Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills (Verbal and Written).

• Must possess current permanent authorization to work in the United States for any employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
