Consulting Psychiatrist for Integrative Psychiatry Practice

Job Overview
We are seeking a Psychiatrist skilled in providing mental healthcare for adolescents and adults. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Psychiatry and be proficient in various therapeutic modalities for the range of psychiatric conditions. This role is as a consultant and collaborator for an experienced dual certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with an existing integrative psychiatric practice. The practice is low volume with a focus on lifestyle optimization and functional medicine.

• Monthly scheduled 1 hour consultations with Nurse Practitioner
• Review and sign administrative documents for private practice
• Maintain malpractice Insurance
• Clinical oversight of Nurse Practitioner

Skills:

• Proven experience as a psychiatrist
• In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices
• Compassionate and approachable
• Responsible and trustworthy
• MD or DO degree and valid license to practice the profession

Requirements:

• Post-residency experience preferred, particularly in outpatient settings
• Strong knowledge of crisis management techniques
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Medical degree (MD or DO) with completed residency in Psychiatry.
• Active and unencumbered California MD or DO License as a Psychiatrist, Furnishing License, as well as a DEA License
• Competent in hormone therapy for peri-menopause and menopause a plus although not required
