Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Consumer Peer Support Workers to join the Mental Health Division HOPE team located at Pascoe Vale South.

About Mental Health Division:
Northern Health is the third largest mental health service in Victoria Northern.
Within the Mental Health Division, we pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services to people living in the northern regions of Melbourne, and work in a collaborative way with consumers and carers based on recovery principles.
We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff in the provision of professional treatment and care by our integrated community teams, inpatient, and residential services.
About the Role:
We have an opening available and we are looking for an enthusiastic Consumer Peer Support Worker Level 2, Year 2-4 ( MP33 - MP35) Part time ongoing 48hrs a fortnight, to join the HOPE Program within Northern Health Mental Health Division. Located at Pascoe Vale South.
The Hospital Outreach Post Suicide Program (HOPE) is a multidisciplinary team of Clinicians, Psycho-social Support Workers and Carer/ Consumer Peer Support Workers and Consultant Psychiatrist.
The HOPE team is a supportive and dynamic team of staff that are truly passionate and motivated in supporting consumers and their families/carers.
We provide a comprehensive range of specialist mental health services to people who reside in the local government areas of Whittlesea and Darebin.
HOPE program collaboratively delivers up to 12 weeks practical support and evidence based therapeutic interventions to address the unique social, economic, historical and environmental factors that have contributed to, or continue to contribute to, a consumer’s suicidality.
Engage in service development activities within the team and actively support quality initiatives and research efforts.
You will collaborate with both clinical and non-clinical colleagues, to promote a team-based approach to care.
Also, you will participate in collecting data in a timely manner for quality improvement and evaluation purposes.
