Container Driver

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Container (Trash) Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating waste collection vehicles to transport and service containers at residential, commercial, and industrial locations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent route management skills, and the ability to handle container placement, pickup, and disposal operations. Candidates with experience in waste management, roll-off, front-load, or rear-load truck operations are encouraged to apply. Duties

• Operate container/trash trucks safely along designated routes, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Perform collection, transport, and disposal of waste and recyclable materials
• Safely load, unload, and maneuver containers (including roll-off dumpsters or carts) using appropriate equipment
• Manage route schedules efficiently to ensure timely pickups and service completion
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and ensure proper use of safety equipment
• Follow all company policies regarding waste handling, environmental regulations, and safety procedures

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL B) with appropriate endorsements for waste collection vehicles
• Previous experience operating trash trucks (roll-off, front-load, rear-load, or side-load preferred)
• Knowledge of waste handling procedures and safety regulations
• Must pass a MVR background check and drug test prior to starting
• Strong driving record with a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on assigned routes
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including climbing in and out of the truck and handling containers as needed

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
