Content and Engagement Coordinator

Job Description
Summary: This position supports the organization’s communications efforts through content creation, digital engagement, and brand consistency. This role assists with social media management, website and SEO content, internal communications, data reporting, and multimedia production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Assists in developing and executing a social media content plan
  • Creates branded social media graphics and captions aligned with Dollar Energy Fund’s messaging to support campaigns (fundraisers, programs, seasonal initiatives)
  • Builds campaign toolkits for internal use, utility partners, and supporters
  • Assist fundraising activities by providing administrative support and logistics coordination
  • Schedules social posts and monitors engagement trends
  • Writes blog posts for website to support SEO strategy (ex: utility assistance, energy savings tips)
  • Optimizes content using keywords and search-friendly formatting
  • Formats internal presentations, flyers, and documents using brand standards
  • Ensures brand consistency across all materials (fonts, colors, tone, layout)
  • Organizes submissions and creates employee photo slideshows and internal engagement content
  • Assists with recruitment marketing (social ads, recruitment package, flyers)
  • Pulls and organizes program statistics for use in reports, presentations, and marketing
  • Assists in visualizing data (charts, infographics, impact stats)
  • Assists with script writing for internal and external videos
  • Supports video shoots (setup and staging)
  • Helps organize assets for post-production editing
  • Edits photos from events (Zoo, Golf Classic)

Work Environment
  • The work environment is an office setting, in a designated office, with temperate climate control.
  • The work is sedentary in nature but may require occasional mobilizing within the work setting.
  • The work can be performed with a combination of on-site and remote work.
  • May be required to attend on-site meetings, trainings, and events in the DEF office, or at other venues, as necessary.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have:
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, including building professional PowerPoint presentations, organizing data in Excel, and formatting documents in Word
  • Comfortable creating basic graphics using Canva (social posts)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow brand guidelines
  • Clear written communication skills (for captions, blog posts, internal content)
Preferred Skills (Experience is a plus, but not required):
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Familiarity with WordPress
  • Photo editing experience using Adobe Lightroom
  • Video editing experience with Final Cut Pro
