Content and social media specialist

Role

Michigan Screen & Window is looking for a creatively driven Content and Social Media Specialist to help bring our brand to life across social media, events, and the communities we serve throughout West Michigan.

The driving force behind our marketing strategy is simple: to be the locally grown, go-to, trusted partner for homeowners and business owners who need window, door, and screen solutions done right. This role plays a key part in telling that story through authentic, engaging content and meaningful community presence.

You’ll be responsible for creating, editing, and producing organic content across platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook, while also supporting broader weekly marketing initiatives. This is a hands-on, hybrid position that includes in-office collaboration, on-site content creation with our team, and local events.

You’ll report directly to the Marketing Director, and help ensure everything we put into the world feels cohesive, on-brand, and rooted in the communities we serve.

Responsibilities: Content Creation & Social Media

  • Plan, film, edit, and publish organic photo and video content
  • Create short-form video for social platforms and long-form video for YouTube and our website
  • Assist with copywriting, captions, posting schedules, and content calendars
  • Spend roughly 2–3 days per week focused on content production from filming through editing and publishing
  • Maintain brand consistency across all platforms with guidance from the Marketing Director

Marketing & Brand Support

  • Assist with weekly marketing initiatives including email newsletters, print materials, and brand assets
  • Help manage and support our Windows for Widows community giveback campaign, including yard signs, email marketing, and promotional efforts
  • Design marketing materials using Canva and Adobe tools as needed
  • Support campaigns and messaging around our core services.

Events & Community Engagement

  • Assist with setup and on-site support at home shows, community events, and local networking events
  • Participate in lead generation at events and capture photo and video content while on-site
  • Attend local networking and community events alongside the Marketing Director to help strengthen relationships and brand presence
  • Represent the brand in a professional, approachable, and community-focused way

Collaboration & Operations

  • Travel locally to job sites, events, and team meetups for filming and collaboration
  • Work a hybrid schedule with approximately half time in office and half time remote or on location
  • Collaborate with internal teams to highlight people, projects, and real customer stories

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience creating organic social media content (photo and video)
  • Strong video editing skills using CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar tools
  • Experience with Canva and Adobe products
  • Familiarity with Meta platforms, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn
  • A creatively driven ideas person with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable being on camera occasionally and directing others when needed
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple projects and timelines
  • Willing and able to work a hybrid schedule and attend local events
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Passion for community engagement and local storytelling

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
