Part-Time Tutors Needed (Independent Contractor – 1099)

Reading Results Tutoring, Inc. is growing and looking for passionate, dependable educators to join our tutoring team!

We are currently seeking tutors for students in Pre-K through High School in the following areas:

Reading
Writing
Math
Science
Social Studies
Homework Help
Test Preparation
Executive Functioning Support

We are especially interested in:

• Certified teachers
• Special education teachers
• Reading specialists
• Educators with experience supporting diverse learners
• Orton-Gillingham trained educators (preferred for literacy positions)

Position Responsibilities

• Provide individualized or small-group tutoring sessions
• Create engaging and supportive learning environments
• Tailor instruction to student needs and learning styles
• Maintain session notes and communicate professionally with families and staff
• Support student confidence, skill development, and academic growth

Qualifications

• Teaching certification preferred but not required for all positions
• Experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Reliable, professional, and collaborative
• Experience with dyslexia, ADHD, or learning differences is a plus

Position Details

• Part-time independent contractor position (1099)
• Flexible scheduling
• Afternoon/evening availability preferred
• Combination of in-person tutoring in Newburgh and online tutoring opportunities
• Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and credentials
