About Beyond Code Collective

Beyond Code Collective is a workforce development and tech education organization building pathways into tech careers across Atlanta, New York, and Los Angeles. The Forge is our flagship community and co-learning space where learners, practitioners, and partners come together and this role sits at the heart of making that community visible and growing.

The Role

You're the in-room storyteller and ecosystem connector. You capture what happens at The Forge and turn it into content that brings more people in. You build the relationships that keep them there.

What You'll Do

Content Capture & Creation

? Attend Forge events and capture video, quotes, and key moments in real time

? Edit and publish short-form video for Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts

? Draft captions and recaps for Instagram and LinkedIn

? Maintain a content calendar tied to Forge programming

Ecosystem Engagement

? Be a consistent, recognizable presence at Forge events and programming

? Build relationships with participants, alumni, school partners, and community members

? Support outreach and recruitment to bring new people into the ecosystem

? Set up and manage Eventbrite listings for Forge programming

? Keep participants connected between programs through timely follow-up

? Track engagement and share observations with the team members

What We're Looking For

• Video editing skills: CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or similar
• Graphic design proficiency: Canva, Adobe Express, or Photoshop
• Social media instincts across audiences: teens, young adults, career shifters, and older learners
• A people person who shows up, follows through, and makes everyone feel seen
• Self-starter. You figure things out and get things done
• Bonus: community organizing, event coordination, or motion graphics experience

Why This Role

The Forge is where community meets career. This intern will have real visibility into how a mission-driven tech education organization builds and sustains its community — not theory, hands-on. You'll build a portfolio of real content, real campaigns, and real relationships.

Salary Range:

You do not need to be enrolled in school to be eligible for this internship.

College Students:

? Freshman - $20/hr

? Sophomore - $21/hr

? Junior - $22/hr

? Senior - $23/hr

Non-college adult interns:

? Will be evaluated based on "life learning/experience" and will be paid at an equivalent college level pay rate
