About the Role

Ascent Digital Agency is a fast-growing digital marketing agency helping home service businesses thrive across the U.S. We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented Content Coordinator to join our in-person team in Durango, CO. In this role, you'll own the full content lifecycle - from producing scroll-stopping social graphics and planning content calendars, to coordinating video shoots and keeping client relationships running smoothly. What You'll Do

Production & Scheduling

  • Coordinate and schedule video shoots with clients, internal team, and production staff
  • Serve as on-site support during shoots, providing direction and ensuring brand alignment
  • Manage shoot logistics, timelines, and any day-of adjustments

Social Media Content Creation

  • Design and produce static social media graphics for client accounts across Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms
  • Create polished, on-brand visuals using Canva (proficiency preferred)
  • Utilize AI-powered editing and content tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, Canva AI, ChatGPT) to accelerate production and enhance creative output (experience preferred)
  • Write compelling captions and copy that reflect each client's voice, seasonal promotions, and campaign goals
  • Assist with light photo editing and image selection from shoot footage for social use

Content Planning & Publishing

  • Build and maintain monthly social content calendars for assigned client accounts
  • Manage the content approval workflow — routing creative to clients, incorporating feedback, and ensuring on-time publishing
  • Schedule and publish content using Sprout Social (experience a plus)
  • Monitor platform performance and flag opportunities to optimize content mix or posting cadence

Client Relationships

  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for clients on content-related matters
  • Communicate proactively to keep clients informed on shoot schedules, content timelines, and deliverables
  • Coordinate closely with the Client Success team to ensure content strategies align with broader account goals

What We're Looking For

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines simultaneously
  • Hands-on experience creating static social media graphics and visual content for brand accounts
  • Proficiency in Canva — you know your way around templates, brand kits, and custom design
  • Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools (Canva AI, Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT, or similar) and how to use them efficiently in a production workflow
  • Excellent written communication skills — you write captions and copy that feel human, not templated
  • Social media savvy with a solid understanding of platform best practices across Instagram, Facebook, and beyond
  • Experience with social media scheduling tools; Sprout Social experience is a strong plus
  • Comfortable on set — able to assist with shoot logistics and provide clear, confident direction
  • Client-facing experience with a professional, service-oriented approach
  • A collaborative mindset — you work well across teams and bring a solutions-first attitude

Nice to Have

  • Background in digital marketing, graphic design, communications, or a related field
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, or Lightroom) alongside Canva
  • Experience at a marketing agency or in a multi-client content environment
  • Basic video editing skills or familiarity with short-form video content (Reels, TikTok-style)
  • Familiarity with home service industries (lawn care, pest control, construction, etc.)

Compensation

$55,000 – $65,000 annually, depending on experience
