Overview
Truth Web Design is growing, and we need a detail-oriented content person who can help us keep client content moving. A lot of what we do is taking content that comes in from our SEO vendors, formatting it, checking it for grammar and odd phrasing, making sure it matches the client’s brand story, and getting it ready to send to the client. Right now that load is on leadership, and we want to hand it off to someone who actually likes working with words. This is a part-time role to start, with predictable, recurring work. You don’t have to be an award-winning copywriter, but you do need to care about accuracy, clarity, and following instructions.
What You’ll Do
Content review and cleanup
- Read SEO blogs, press releases, and site content from our vendors and manually vet for grammar, spelling, and factual oddities.
- Remove or soften language that over-promises results (especially for regulated or higher-risk industries).
- Reformat content into clean Google Docs for client review.
- Make light edits inside GPT and then proof the output so it’s client-ready.
Copywriting and content creation
- Write short-form copy such as social media captions, Google Business Profile posts, and email intros from outlines or brand stories.
- Assist with website copy using brand voice inputs (we often use StoryBrand-style messaging).
- Draft meta titles and descriptions within character limits.
- If you can write strong, clear marketing copy, that will set you apart. We will ask for a sample.
Ad and marketing support
- Review and clean up ad copy for Meta and Google to make sure it is on-brand and compliant with the client’s offer.
- Keep tone consistent with what we have already approved for the client.
Light web/content entry and QA
- Be able to get familiar with WordPress, HighLevel (Sidemark/GoHighLevel), Shopify, and Craft CMS to enter content and make small content changes.
- Perform basic QA checks to make sure spacing, headings, and links look right after content is added.
Process and documentation
- Follow our internal SOPs for content review.
- Name and organize documents consistently so the account team can find them.
- Communicate status in Slack.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong written English with excellent spelling and grammar.
- Very high attention to detail. You notice extra spaces, wrong quotation marks, and awkward sentences.
- Comfortable working with AI tools (we use GPT to speed things up, not to skip proofreading).
- Familiarity with digital marketing content: blogs, landing pages, social captions, and ad copy.
- Able to follow an existing brand story or tone document and apply it to content.
- Comfortable working in Google Drive and Slack.
- Self-directed. You can take a piece of content from “vendor draft” to “client ready” without hand-holding.
Nice to Have
- Experience inside WordPress/Elementor, HighLevel, Shopify, or Craft CMS.
- Experience reviewing content for industries like home services, professional services, dental/medical, or local businesses.
- Familiarity with SEO basics (H1/H2 usage, keyword presence, not overstuffing).
- Experience working in or with an agency.
