Job Description: Content Creation Project Manager (Charity) — UK & US Programmes

About the role

We are looking for a lively, confident and creative Content Creation Project Manager to join our team and help tell powerful, heartwarming stories from the communities we support across Pakistan. You will lead on creating engaging short-form content (especially Reels) that showcases impact, builds awareness, increases engagement and supports fundraising for a UK and US based charity.

This is an ideal opportunity for a fresh graduate or someone with 1–2 years’ experience who is excited about purposeful storytelling and confident working both behind and in front of the camera.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, create and manage end-to-end content for charity campaigns across social platforms (especially Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Facebook).
  • Film and present content confidently on camera, including talking-head videos, interviews and on-location updates.
  • Capture high-quality videography and photography of projects, families, events and partners to highlight the charity’s impact.
  • Identify and develop fresh story ideas that are sensitive, uplifting and aligned with the charity’s mission.
  • Work with video editors to create short-form videos into compelling social media Reels with strong hooks, captions, transitions and platform-appropriate pacing.
  • Conduct on-site coverage: setting up shots, managing lighting/sound basics, and ensuring footage is clear, stable and well-framed.
  • Work with internal teams and stakeholders to plan shoots, schedule content and ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure all content follows safeguarding, consent, privacy and brand guidelines, and is respectful to beneficiaries and communities.

Person specification

Essential

  • Fresh graduate or 1–2 years of experience in content creation, marketing, media, journalism or a related field.
  • Confident and natural in front of the camera, with strong on-screen presence.
  • Proven ability to create engaging short-form video content (Reels/Shorts/TikToks).
  • Excellent communication skills: warm, clear, polite and able to build rapport quickly.
  • A lively, bold personality with enthusiasm for storytelling and the charity sector.
  • Strong organisational skills: able to plan shoots, manage deadlines and deliver consistently.
  • Ability to travel locally for filming (and occasionally further, depending on projects).
  • Consistently producing high-quality, uplifting content that increases reach and engagement.
  • Turning real impact into meaningful stories that encourage community support and donations.
  • Building a recognisable, positive on-camera presence for the charity across platforms.
  • Fluency in English is essential. All content must be created and delivered in English.

Preferred

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Media, Journalism, Communications or similar.
  • Experience filming interviews and real-life stories in a sensitive and respectful way.
  • Understanding of social media trends, hooks, storytelling formats and audience engagement.

Skills and tools

  • Comfortable using cameras and/or smartphones for filming, plus basic audio/lighting know-how.
  • Strong eye for framing, pacing, and emotional storytelling.
  • Ability to write strong captions and simple scripts that feel authentic and human.

Equipment

We can provide filming equipment (camera and related tools). Candidates who prefer to use their own equipment are welcome to do so.
