About the Role

The Sanford Spinners Baseball Club is seeking a skilled, sports-minded Content Creator to lead our social media coverage and storytelling throughout the 2026 season. This role is responsible for capturing and publishing consistent, high-quality content that grows our audience, highlights our players and fans, and ensures our sponsors/partners are properly featured and tagged.

This is a high-visibility position. Our content creator helps define the public face of the Spinners and our partners in Sanford, across the Old North State League, and online.

Key Responsibilities

Game Day Coverage (Home Games)

  • Capture vertical video content throughout the game (fans, promos, key plays, atmosphere, dugout moments where appropriate).
  • Post real-time Stories during games (arrival, lineup, crowd, contests, sponsor moments, final score).
  • Produce and publish a game recap/highlight video within 12–24 hours.
  • Capture short postgame moments, including quick interviews (player/coach/host when available).
  • Coordinate with the Game Day Coordinator/On-Field Host to ensure promotions and sponsor activations are captured.

Non-Game Content (Weekly)

  • Create content that builds community recognition:
  • player spotlights and profiles
  • behind-the-scenes clips
  • community/partner activations
  • “what’s next” schedule and ticket pushes
  • fan features and engagement posts
  • Maintain consistent voice and visual style aligned with the brand.

Sponsor & Partner Support

  • Ensure sponsors/partners are featured and tagged correctly where appropriate.
  • Capture required sponsor deliverables (signage clips, activations, giveaways, VIP moments) as assigned.
  • Work from a sponsor list and deliverables checklist to avoid missed obligations.

Content Management

  • Track content needs using a simple content calendar and shot list.
  • Organize footage and deliver key files to the team on schedule (highlights, archive clips, sponsor assets).
  • Collaborate with our remote marketing/admin team to align with weekly themes and promotions.

Deliverables (Expected Output)

Final deliverables may be adjusted based on experience and compensation, but the goal is consistent coverage.

Per Home Game (typical):

  • Live Stories (multiple updates)
  • 1 recap/highlight video (15–60 seconds) within 12–24 hours
  • 1 final score post (or graphic provided by team + your caption)
  • 1 short postgame clip (when feasible)

Weekly (non-game):

  • 3–5 posts per week across platforms (mix of Reels/shorts, photos, carousel, graphics)
  • 1 player spotlight (or mini-feature)
  • 1 community/partner post
  • 1 schedule/ticket push

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in Sanford, NC and cover home games in person.
  • Strong understanding of sports pacing, baseball experience is a plus.
  • Ability to shoot and edit fast-turnaround vertical content (mobile-first workflow is OK).
  • Comfortable directing quick moments (short interviews, fan interactions, sponsor clips).
  • Reliability: consistent attendance, on-time delivery, and good communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience shooting sports highlights (baseball preferred).
  • Strong editing ability (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, or equivalent).
  • Basic audio skills (clean dialogue, simple mic use a plus).
  • Familiarity with IG Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and posting best practices.
