Content Creator and Community Manager

Kolkata Chai is looking to hire a Content Creator & Community Manager to join a fast growing food & beverage brand. We’re on a mission to reclaim the narrative around chai and Indian street food and tell authentic stories powered by content and culture.

We’re innovative, hard working and have an opportunity to redefine an entire category. This is an opportunity for an individual who is creative, community minded and a natural born problem solver. You will be responsible for creating content and managing an engaged social audience and a critical part of our growth strategy.

This is an in-person opportunity based in New York, NY. You will be required to be in on-site/in the office 1-3x per week.

Responsibilities

• Managing social pages (Instagram, Twitter, Tiktok, posting content per our calendar, reposting stories, responding to DMs & comments, managing UGC content campaigns and running giveaways
• Creating short form social content (videos, memes, GIFs) to maintain our social reach and drive viral moments
• Outreach to influencers & creators during campaigns and key moments, always building relationships with influencers to seed product, sending product to influencers, coordinating with fulfillment team on product
• Managing and growing our Affiliate Program to drive key revenue metrics
• Provide community feedback to the management and stakeholders
• Monitor social media campaigns and analyze web traffic from the online community using key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Coordinating with cafe staff to execute activations and campaigns

Skills

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in social media, marketing, digital content
• Experienced in social media culture - memes, trends,
• Creative, imaginative and committed to building communities
• A motivated, entrepreneurial self starter
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Proven ability to multi-task and deliver under tight deadlines
• Able to adapt to the fast paced nature of startup life
• Familiarity of South Asian culture is preferred but not necessary
