International House of Music (IHOMI) is a well-known music retailer in Downtown Los Angeles serving musicians and the Latin music community for decades.
We are expanding our online presence and looking for a Content Creator / Junior PaidMedia Specialist who can create engaging content and support our paid advertising efforts.
This role is ideal for someone who is creative, understands social media trends, and has some experience with paid ads — especially someone who can connect with musicians and turn content into performance.
If you play music, understand instruments, or enjoy being around musicians — this role will be a great fit.
Responsibilities
- Create and edit short-form video content for:
- TikTok
- Instagram Reels
- YouTube Shorts
- Film content in-store (products, instruments, trends, customer interactions)
- Create engaging content around musical instruments:
- Demos, trends, educational clips, or entertaining formats
- Assist in managing and optimizing paid ad campaigns across:
- Meta Ads (Facebook / Instagram)
- TikTok Ads
- Google Ads (basic exposure is a plus)
- Help develop ad creatives (videos, hooks, captions, copy)
- Support retargeting campaigns (website visitors, video viewers, engagement audiences)
- Use AI tools (ChatGPT, CapCut, Midjourney, etc.) to:
- Generate content ideas
- Write scripts and captions
- Repurpose content efficiently
- Track and report basic performance metrics:
- Engagement, CTR, conversions, ROAS (training provided if needed)
- Stay up to date with trends, viral formats, and ad creative strategies
Requirements
- 1–3 years experience in:
- Content creation, social media, or digital marketing
- Some hands-on experience with paid ads:
- Meta Ads (required)
- TikTok Ads or Google Ads (preferred)
- Strong understanding of short-form content (TikTok/Reels/Shorts)
- Video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, etc.)
- Basic understanding of:
- Ad creatives and hooks
- Conversion-focused content
- Familiar with AI tools (or eager to learn quickly)
- Organized, proactive, and performance-driven
- Passion for music is required; familiarity with musical instruments or ability to create content around them is a strong plus
Preferred (Bonus Skills)
- Bilingual English / Spanish
- Experience scaling organic content into ads
- Basic knowledge of GA4 or tracking
- Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- E-commerce experience (Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce)
- AI workflow automation / content systems
Compensation
- Base Salary: $45,000 – $65,000
- Performance Bonuses based on results
