About the Role:
We're an independent media team producing content around underground electronic music culture looking for a creative to own our editorial content. This includes artist spotlights, scene history, genre deep-dives, culture-forward informational posts and other content that educates/resonates with people who actually care about this music.
What You'll Do:
- Research and develop informational carousel posts for Instagram covering artists, scene history, genre culture, and electronic music topics
- Design multi-slide carousel layouts with strong visual hierarchy and a consistent aesthetic
- Write clean, well-edited copy tailored to an informed, music-literate audience
- Collaborate closely with a small, hands-on creative team on content direction and scheduling
Ideal Candidate:
- MUST BE 21+
- MUST LIVE WITHIN PROXIMITY OF LOS ANGELES
- Genuinely passionate about house and techno music, someone embedded in the culture
- Background or strong interest in graphic design, journalism, and editorial content
- Proficient or familiar with Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent design tools
- Self-motivated, reliable, and adaptable
- Instagram-native — understands how carousels perform and what makes people stop scrolling
Time Commitment:
- Flexible and project-based
- Deadlines may fall outside traditional business hours
