Job Title: Content Creator/Brand Manager

Location: Portland and Ashland (travel between two locations with overnights)

Job Type: Full Time

Reports To: Owner/Director of Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Content Creator/Brand Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality content that aligns with our brand voice and engages our target audience. The ideal candidate is proficient in various content formats and platforms, and is a storyteller, strategist, and consumer advocate who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and produce engaging content for social media, and other digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to plan and execute content strategies.
  • Conduct research to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
  • Develop and implement brand strategies aligned with company goals
  • Manage and evolve brand identity, voice, and messaging across all social media channels
  • Edit and proofread content to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate best practices into content creation.
  • Monitor brand performance metrics (awareness, sentiment, equity) and adjust strategies as needed
  • Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, or in media interactions
  • Design graphics and elements for social media platforms that adhere to our brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with store managers/stylists in all locations to create on brand content in a timely manner
  • Maintain social media content calendar(s) updating regularly with changes and adjustments as needed

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong video editing skills
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and digital marketing.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and content trends.
  • Deep understanding of brand positioning, marketing strategy, and customer psychology
  • Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Takes initiative
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in content creation or a similar role.
  • Portfolio of published content demonstrating writing and creative skills.
  • Proven track record of managing successful brand campaigns or repositioning efforts

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to travel between our Portland and Ashland location on a monthly basis. Your home base can either be in Portland or Southern Oregon.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
