Content & Dissemination Associate

Mumbai, India

About Agatsu Foundation

Agatsu Foundation is a not-for-profit organization reimagining mental health in India through community, therapy, knowledge, and care-navigation services. Our Knowledge Vertical translates evidence-based research into accessible, culturally resonant formats, while our community centre and therapy clinic provide inclusive, affordable care.

We are looking for a Content & Dissemination Associate to join our team — someone who can transform ideas into engaging content across formats and ensure that knowledge reaches people both online and offline.

Role Overview

This is a dynamic, hands-on role at the intersection of knowledge, creativity, and outreach. You will create and adapt content in diverse formats (reels, comics, leaflets, zines, blogs, PDFs, workshops, posters, podcasts, etc.) and ensure it reaches people where they are — on social media, in clinics, at events, or even on the streets.

While initial content direction will be set by leadership, you will drive execution and dissemination, with increasing opportunities to contribute creatively and strategically. Over time, you will also supervise interns/junior staff to scale our reach.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Adaptation

  • Develop content in multiple formats: reels, posts, blogs, poems, comics, zines, PDFs, textbooks, podcasts, leaflets, presentations, etc.
  • Adapt one idea into multiple forms (e.g., podcast → reel → infographic → leaflet → workshop activity).
  • Work with the Graphic Designer for design support.
  • Edit and produce short-form videos (reels, YouTube Shorts).

Dissemination & Outreach

  • Publish and manage digital channels (two Instagram pages, YouTube, podcast platforms, newsletters).
  • Respond to DMs, comments, and community queries on social platforms.
  • Distribute content offline (doctor’s clinics, community groups, workshops, awareness campaigns).
  • Support event-related content (community centre activities, peer meets, campaigns).
  • Experiment with innovative modes of outreach (from leaflets to megaphones).

Insights & Strategy

  • Track and analyze engagement metrics across platforms.
  • Use insights to inform strategy and refine dissemination approaches.
  • Collaborate with the Branding & Communications Head to maintain consistency across verticals.
  • Work with the Community Centre Head for content showcasing events and programmes.

Collaboration & Growth

  • Align with the Founder/Knowledge Vertical Lead for ethos and research direction.
  • Coordinate across departments to reflect therapy, community, and therapeutic service needs.
  • Contribute creative ideas while respecting existing strategy.
  • Manage interns/junior staff for execution support as the role expands.

Required Skills & Qualities

  • Proven experience in content creation and social media management | 8-10 years of work-experience.
  • Strong video editing skills (reels, shorts) and comfort with multi-format content
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into simple, accessible formats (PremeriePro or any other editing software, Canva)
  • Understanding of social media insights, analytics, and growth strategies
  • Excellent communication skills (English required; Hindi/Marathi a plus)
  • Flexibility to work across digital and offline dissemination modes
  • Reliability, professionalism, accountability, and strong team communication
  • Interest in mental health and culturally resonant storytelling
  • Personal device that can be brought into work

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to shape mental health narratives in India across digital and physical spaces
  • A collaborative, mission-driven team that values creativity and growth
  • Exposure to knowledge translation, research-based content, and community outreach
  • Flexibility in experimenting with new dissemination methods
  • Pathway to grow into a leadership role
  • Reimbursement for personal therapy
