Video & Podcast Content Editor

About the Role

Write a compelling, accurate, and strategically positioned narrative about what this role is truly about—not what The Content Editor will edit and review all video or podcast footage across social media, YouTube, or paid campaigns to create polished, high-quality video content that meets the needs of the project or brand image. This individual will be responsible for cutting and connecting various footage or long-form conversations into engaging, platform-ready content that resonates with diverse audiences. They will also add sound effects, graphics, or color correction and fine-tune the completed video or podcast. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a creative approach to storytelling.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

1. Edit and assemble raw footage or long-form podcast video episodes into polished videos for YouTube or other social platforms, using industry-standard tools.

2. Input sound or audio to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and writing voice-overs.

3. Integrate graphics or advanced color correction and color grading to elevate the storytelling and overall production value of the content, as well as maintain consistent, cinematic, and on-brand visual identity across content.

4. Utilize captions, lower thirds, and on-screen elements to support comprehension and improve client retention.

5. Create high-impact short clips, teaser reels, vertical content (Reels/TikToks/Shorts), and paid-ad optimized video snippets.

6. Edit content for platform-specific preferences (timing, pacing, subtitles, hooks).

7. Determine approach for formatting and editing long-form episodes into multi-channel derivative assets.

8. Work closely with various teams to ensure consistency in messaging, branding,, and style as well as ensure the Firm’s strategic goals are translated into compelling content.

9. Adjust video color, lighting, and contrast to enhance visual quality and match the desired style or mood.

10. Monitor digital engagement metrics to revise content for future posts, as necessary.

11. Maintain consistency in content and ensure alignment with the brand history and plans.,

12. Organize raw footage, audio files, media libraries, and project assets systematically to ensure efficient workflows and easy access for revisions or future projects.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements (Essential Skills, Knowledge & Abilities)

1. Bilingual (Spanish,in English) B2-C1

2. High School diploma or equivalent

3. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software,

4. 2-4 years of proven work experience in video editing or content creation, video production, podcasting, or digital storytelling.

5. Familiarity with optimizing assets for Facebook/Instagram paid placements and YouTube pre-roll.,

6. Experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).

7. A portfolio demonstrating strong storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement across social platforms.

8. Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team

9. Good time management skills to meet deadlines on multiple projects
