Content Editor & Social Media Intern

I’m a music studio owner and business consultant for local service businesses, and I’m currently building out my YouTube channel and Instagram to reach more clients.

I’m looking for one intern this summer who wants real experience.

I’ve built and grown a service business (doubled it two years in a row), I know how to do the editing, content, and posting myself. I’ve done all of it for years I just don’t have the time to keep up with it consistently.

You’ll be working on real content that actually gets posted—YouTube videos, Instagram posts, everything.

You’ll be helping manage a real content pipeline for a growing personal brand.

What You’ll Do Video Editing (YouTube)

  • Edit 1 YouTube video per week from raw footage
  • Add captions, graphics, and simple branded elements
  • Export and upload (final drafts reviewed before publishing)

Social Media Content (Instagram)

  • Create 5 posts per week (Reels, carousels, graphics)
  • Repurpose content from YouTube videos (not starting from scratch)
  • Write captions in brand voice (training provided)
  • Schedule and publish approved content

Content Feedback

This is not just an editing role.

For each video, you’ll also:

  • Identify where attention drops
  • Point out anything confusing or unclear
  • Suggest simple improvements to make content more engaging

You should naturally think:
“Would the potential client keep watching this?”

Brand Consistency

  • Follow brand guidelines (colors, fonts, tone)
  • Maintain a clean, consistent look across platforms

What You’ll Walk Away With

  • A real portfolio of published content (YouTube + Instagram)
  • Experience managing a weekly content pipeline
  • Exposure to personal branding + service business marketing
  • A strong reference and recommendation letter
  • Paid, hands-on experience you can speak to in interviews
  • Potential ongoing work after internship

What I’m Looking For

  • Experience editing video
  • Comfortable with Instagram and YouTube as a creator
  • Self-directed and able to take direction and execute
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to notice what makes content engaging (or not)

Bonus:

  • Canva or basic design skills

You do NOT need experience in business consulting.
You DO need to care about creating content that people actually watch and click on.

Compensation & Details

  • Paid internship
  • 10–15 hours/week (flexible)
  • Remote or local (TN)
  • Summer 2026 (start date flexible)

How to Apply

Send:

  • A short intro about yourself
  • 1–2 examples of content or videos you’ve created

Pay: $100.00 - $200.00 per week

Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule

Work Location: Remote
