Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Content Strategist to plan, create, optimize, and manage high-quality content across multiple client accounts. The role requires strong writing skills, SEO knowledge, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional quality standards. This position also offers growth into mentoring and leadership responsibilities as the team expands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and manage monthly content calendars aligned with each client’s business goals, including blogs, email campaigns, social media content, and website copy.
  • Conduct regular audience, market, and competitor analysis to identify content gaps and new opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and sales teams to ensure content strategies align with client scopes, objectives, and timelines.
  • Proactively recommend new content ideas, formats, and campaigns to address evolving client needs and performance insights.
  • Content Creation & Quality Control
  • Write, edit, and optimize high-quality content across blogs, emails, websites, and social platforms while maintaining brand voice and tone guidelines.
  • Review and edit content produced by junior team members to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality.
  • Collaborate with designers and creative teams to develop engaging visuals and multimedia assets that enhance content effectiveness.
  • Ensure all content is thoroughly proofread, polished, and delivered within agreed timelines.
  • SEO & Content Optimization
  • Conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices across all content assets, including on-page optimization (titles, meta descriptions, headings, and internal links).
  • Coordinate with SEO specialists to support organic ranking and traffic growth goals.
  • Stay up to date with SEO trends, algorithm updates, and content best practices, sharing insights to improve performance.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, project management, paid media, and creative teams to ensure consistent messaging and integrated campaigns.
  • Manage content tasks efficiently using project management tools (e.g., Zoho Projects), providing regular updates on progress, timelines, and potential blockers.
  • Actively participate in brainstorming and strategy sessions, contributing innovative and data-driven ideas.
  • Monitoring, Reporting & Optimization
  • Track and analyze content performance metrics such as engagement, CTR, conversions, and SEO rankings.
  • Prepare monthly performance reports outlining achievements, insights, and optimization opportunities.
  • Recommend and support A/B testing and iterative improvements to continuously enhance content ROI.
  • Process & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure all deliverables are error-free, properly formatted, and compliant with internal and client quality standards.
  • Follow internal SOPs, documentation practices, and naming conventions to maintain smooth workflows.
  • Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements to content processes and quality controls.
  • Growth & Future Leadership
  • Support onboarding and mentoring of junior or new team members as the department grows.
  • Share best practices, learnings, and content insights to elevate overall team performance and department success.
  • Time Management & Delivery Discipline
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently without compromising quality.
  • Maintain accurate task updates and timelines within the project management system.
  • Communicate potential delivery risks early and collaborate with project managers to ensure client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in content strategy, content writing, or digital marketing (agency experience preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, and content optimization.
  • Experience working with content calendars, CMS platforms, and project management tools (e.g., Zoho Projects, Asana, Trello).
  • Ability to manage multiple clients or projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting content performance metrics.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Prior experience reviewing or mentoring junior writers is a plus.
