About the Job

The Content Marketing Director will play a pivotal role in developing content for Julie Vos. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for creating on-brand content appropriate for the channel, ensuring the brand’s editorial standards and voice remain consistent across all touch-points, enhance brand awareness, and drive sales. We’re looking for a creative and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of brand marketing across the customer journey. This role involves leadership responsibilities, collaborating closely with senior leaders in the marketing team and oversees a Staff Copywriter.

What You’ll Do

Editorial Oversight & Copy Direction:

  • Brainstorm, write, develop, edit, and proofread content across all marketing materials including website content, emails, SMS, social media posts, advertising, catalogs, and B2B materials.
  • Uphold and advance the Julie Vos editorial style guide, ensuring all content consistently reflects the brand’s voice and tone across all channels.
  • Provide clear copy direction to members of content marketing team.

Content Planning and Execution:

  • Lead content development for core business campaigns and new initiatives, from planning through execution, ensuring cohesive content across all channels aligned with the Marketing calendar.
  • Develop editorial calendars for marketing efforts including email, SMS, and social media, ensuring content briefs provide clear direction for Art Directors, Graphic Designers, and the Staff Copywriter.
  • Monitor and report on content performance, partnering with the eCommerce team to optimize future content based on data and insights.

Content Creation:

  • Develop fully realized on-brand concepts from inception to execution, delivering editorial direction, conducting research, pulling swipe/examples to support creative vision.
  • Oversee day-to-day content creation, providing guidance and constructive feedback to direct reports and the broader creative team to ensure best-in-class content.
  • Craft innovative commerce-driven content and product narratives that resonate with our target audience and drive demand.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the content team and broader marketing team, fostering a collaborative, positive, and results-driven environment.
  • Guide brainstorming sessions to produce innovative and impactful content that differentiates the Julie Vos brand.

Who You Are

  • Deep experience within a commerce-driven luxury brand environment.
  • Strong knowledge of editorial, brand and direct marketing.
  • Proven experience leading teams and influencing creative direction cross-functionally to achieve project goals.
  • Exceptional visual layout, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative excellence with a keen eye for detail in both visual and verbal brand expression.
  • Ability to channel and maintain an on-brand aesthetic, with a nuanced understanding of a brand’s look and feel.
  • Positive attitude and adaptability to change, feedback, and approvals.
