The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for producing high-quality, strategic content that strengthens Giants Ridge brand visibility and fuels the digital marketing ecosystem. This position develops photo and video assets, manages the content calendar, and ensures a steady pipeline of creative deliverables that support business goals across all seasons.

The role captures authentic, on-mountain experiences and produces content for paid social, website, email, blog posts, digital ads, and event marketing. The Content Marketing Specialist works in close partnership with the Marketing Coordinator, who manages administrative tasks, social posting, website updates, and internal requests. Together, both positions execute the marketing plan and maintain the resort's brand presence across all channels. This position reports directly to the Marketing Director.

Job Description:

Essential Functions

Content Creation and Brand Visibility

  • Capture high-quality photo and video content that highlights Giants Ridge four-season experiences.
  • Create visual storytelling that supports brand awareness initiatives and showcases the resort
  • 's signature activities including skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, golf, events, and scenic recreation.

Digital Marketing Content Production

  • Produce content for paid social campaigns, organic social posts, email marketing, the resort website, blog posts, and digital ads.
  • Ensure all content aligns with marketing strategies, messaging priorities, and seasonal needs.

Content Pipeline and Calendar Management

  • Manage the content calendar and ensure a continuous flow of assets tied to seasonality, events, conditions, and business priorities.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Coordinator to ensure timely publishing, distribution, and accurate deployment across platforms.

On Mountain and On Course Content Capture

  • Participate in on-hill and on-trail activities including skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and golf to capture real and authentic guest experiences.
  • Produce dynamic, engaging content that reflects live conditions and the energy of the resort environment.

Performance Driven Campaign Support

  • Create optimized assets that improve ad performance across paid channels.
  • Produce short-form video, graphics, and still photography that support visitation, revenue, and conversion goals.

Evergreen Content Library Development

  • Build and organize a structured library of evergreen content for year-round marketing use.
  • Maintain naming conventions, tagging, and organization to support cross-department content needs including PR, sponsorships, and events.

Social Media Creative Influence

  • Develop platform-specific content that enhances reach, relevance, and engagement.
  • Partner with the Marketing Coordinator, who manages posting cadence, community engagement, and channel upkeep.

Event Marketing Support

  • Capture pre-event, live event, and post-event content for major signature events and on-site activations.
  • Deliver timely media that increases awareness, attendance, and post-event visibility.

Cross Department Collaboration

  • Work with Recreation, Golf, SnowSports, Retail, and Marketing leadership to meet shared content needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships across departments to ensure accuracy and timely storytelling.

Production Tools and Equipment Management

  • Maintain content creation equipment including cameras, memory cards, lenses, audio tools, and accessories.
  • Recommend updates or replacements that support high-quality content production.

Skill and Knowledge Requirements

  • Strong photography and videography skills with an understanding of composition, lighting, and motion.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Lightroom, and Photoshop.
  • Ability to manage multiple creative projects at once and meet production timelines.
  • Strong visual storytelling skills and understanding of content trends across social and digital platforms.
  • Ability to edit both short-form and long-form video content.
  • Comfort participating in outdoor activities such as skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and golf while capturing content.
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working in a small, fast-paced team environment.
  • Experience with digital marketing ecosystems including paid social, email, and website content is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Ability to carry and transport camera equipment and marketing materials.
  • This role is expected to work Tuesday through Saturday during in-season periods. In-season is generally November through March and May through October.
  • Some evening and holiday work may be required during peak periods and events.

Equipment Used

  • Professional cameras, lenses, tripods, microphones, and stabilizers.
  • Lighting and audio equipment for interviews and controlled shoots.
  • Adobe Creative Suite and related editing software.
  • Drone certification (Part 107) or ability to obtain one.
  • Standard computer equipment and storage tools for large media files.

Competitive Pay: Earn $19.23 - $21.63 per hour, based on experience.

Giants Ridge, managed by Guest Services, Inc., is looking for a creative, energetic, and story-driven Content Marketing Specialist to help showcase one of Minnesota's premier four-season resorts. In this position, you'll be responsible for producing photo and video content, managing our year-round content pipeline, supporting digital and paid campaigns, and helping bring the Giants Ridge brand to life across every channel. From winter powder days to summer golf rounds, you'll capture the experiences that inspire guests to visit – and return.

What You'll Do

You'll capture and produce high-quality visual content that showcases Giants Ridge across four seasons, managing a steady content calendar and supporting digital campaigns with fresh, optimized assets. You'll participate in on-hill and on-trail activities to authentically capture the resort experience, build a strong library of evergreen content, and collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing and departments across the resort to meet ongoing storytelling needs.

What You Bring

You bring strong photography, videography, and editing skills paired with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. You're a creative visual storyteller who can juggle multiple projects, stay ahead of digital trends, and produce compelling content in fast-paced environments. You're comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, participating in skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and golf activities while filming, and ideally have experience within a digital marketing ecosystem.

Role Details

This position typically works Tuesday through Saturday during in-season periods, with occasion evenings and holidays for major events. The role requires the ability to work outside for extended periods and handle camera equipment while capturing content in real-time environments. You'll work with professional camera gear, editing software, audio tools, and may need – or be willing to obtain – a Part 107 drone certification.
