The Content Optimization Specialist plays a key role in creating, refining, and optimizing digital content across websites, SEO campaigns, email marketing, and social media. This position blends traditional copywriting with modern SEO best practices and AI-assisted tools to produce high-quality, effective content aligned with client goals.
This role is ideal for someone who loves writing, learning, and using data to improve performance. You’ll collaborate directly with our SEO, Ads, and Creative teams to support a wide range of clients and industries.
Key Responsibilities
Content Writing & Editing
- Write clear, high-quality digital content including web pages, blog posts, landing pages, email copy, ads, and social captions.
- Edit and improve existing content for clarity, tone, engagement, and SEO performance.
- Ensure all content follows brand guidelines and messaging frameworks.
SEO & Content Optimization
- Conduct keyword research and incorporate SEO best practices into written content.
- Optimize on-page elements such as meta titles, descriptions, headers, and internal links.
- Update and refresh outdated content to improve rankings and engagement.
- Support local SEO content creation (Google Business posts, location pages, etc.).
AI-Assisted Content Production
- Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Surfer, Jasper, etc.) to support ideation, research, first drafts, and optimization.
- Maintain accuracy, tone, and human-quality standards when refining AI-generated content.
Content Publishing & Management
- Assist with uploading and formatting content in CMS platforms (Wix, WordPress, HighLevel, etc.).
- Manage content calendars and publishing timelines.
- Coordinate with the design team to pair content with visuals.
Performance & Quality Tracking
- Support reporting by reviewing content performance metrics and making improvement recommendations.
- Maintain documentation, trackers, and checklists for content and SEO tasks.
- Assist in testing headlines, CTAs, and content variations to increase conversions.
Required
- 1–3+ years of experience in content writing, copywriting, digital marketing, or SEO (agency experience is a plus).
- Strong writing and editing skills with a portfolio or samples.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles (keywords, metadata, readability, E-E-A-T).
- Experience using AI writing tools for productivity and research.
- Comfortable working with website content management systems (WordPress, Wix, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage deadlines and maintain consistent quality.
Preferred
- Familiarity with tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Surfer, or Similarweb.
- Experience with email platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Constant Contact, or similar).
- Understanding of content strategy, UX writing, or conversion copywriting.
- Interest in growing into SEO Specialist or Content Strategist role.
