Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, story-savvy individual to join the quality review team for a true crime Youtube channel. This role is critical to maintaining our high standards of storytelling, pacing, and viewer engagement. You’ll be responsible for reviewing audio-visual scripts before they move into production, ensuring they meet our creative and editorial benchmarks.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you’ll be the final set of eyes before a script moves into production. Your job is to elevate the narrative and ensure consistency across all elements of the script. You will need to:

Review scripts for narrative clarity, pacing, and emotional impact

Ensure hooks are compelling and placed effectively to maximize viewer retention

Check for consistency in tone, tense, and language across episodes

Flag and suggest improvements for visual descriptions and transitions

Identify and correct structural issues, redundancies, or VO overload

Collaborate with writers to provide constructive, actionable feedback

Maintain alignment with channel voice as well as company and audience expectations
Requirements:
We’re looking for someone who combines a sharp editorial eye with a deep understanding of storytelling mechanics. Ideal candidates will bring:

Strong grasp of storytelling fundamentals, ideally in true crime or documentary formats

Excellent command of written English, including grammar, tense, and tone

Ability to spot narrative gaps, weak hooks, and pacing issues

Experience in script editing, content reviewing, or narrative development preferred
